A taste of summer....

I didn't realise till now- but pre dawn April is good for getting a sneaky look at the summer Milky Way. So in the growing dawn twilight I tried my luck at a few traditional 'Summer' targets. All are single subs at ISO800 with 12" F2.9 imaging Newtonian. M20 Triffid Nebula & M21 open cluster in Sagitarius 180s @ IS0800 M16 Eagle Nebula in Serpens 300s @ ISO800. M8 Lagoon Nebula In Sagitarius 300s ISO 800

Fab 5min pics -well done and keep up the good work via your f/2.9 optics - there's no answer to 'speed' and big aperture - except hours of exposure via a diddyscope

Awesome! M16 looks ace. I was up at 4am the other night and i too noticed the milky way was higher than i thought it would be for April/May. Cant wait for a moonless night!
