Hello from Hungerford (or thereabouts!)

I was bought a new Skywatcher 130p for Christmas and have really enjoyed the views so far - the moon, Jupiter, Pleiades, Orion - although I still haven't managed to get a fix on M31!

Last night was my first opportunity to see Saturn and was thrilled to bring the rings into focus for the first time.

I needed to use the standard 2x barlow + 10mm EP to make out the rings and it was difficult to get a clear image, so now I just have to figure out how best to get a clearer view!

There's a massive learning curve ahead and very much looking forward to further exploration.

Hopefully I'll be chatting to a few folk here in the near future!

Best wishes,

Jim

Hi Jim welcome to the lounge, there is a lot to learn, so you are in the right place,

if you find M31 tonight move slightly down and you will see Panstarrs comet, I saw

both last night with my bins.

Good Luck and Clear Shy's
