Hi from another newbe

Hi all,

I am new to star gazing, I have gone a bit mad and have purchaced a Meade LX90 8",

I have just about figured out how to use the autostar finder, the main problem I have is that I cannot get a clearly focused view through the eyepiece, the viewfinder gives a perfict view with the cross hairs on a star the telescope view is only a blured white dot, if any one can give me any pointers to correct where I have got it wrong I would be very greatful .

hi Derek,i am guessing you are not using your focuser then? there are 2 wheels behind the eye piece holder what you should turn until you get the focus.hope that helps
