I have finally decided to join up to SGL after lurking in the shadows as an anonymous guest user for some time, having learnt much from many of the threads of I have read.

Briefly about me, I always had an interest in space since back at school, but never really did much with it until a certain Prof Cox started sharing his enthusiasm for the physics and the universe (I think several SGL members know what I am talking about!) and I found my interest growing and my desire to observe all these amazing objects first hand got the better of me. I am primarily a visual observer and I now own two telescopes, a small refractor which is my portable kit and an 8” SCT....Though I sense aperture fever may have infect me. :grin:
