Hi guys, just though I would register to say hello as I have been reading a lot on here the last couple of days.

Just got a 1100D on the cheap with a efs 55-250 f/4-5.6 IS and a EFS 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS

I know this isnt the best gear thats available but I am hoping to take some nice shots of the sky with tips picked up from this forum

Last night I managed to get some of my first shots but was battling with the moon and lots of clouds

I am in S.W France and when there are clear skies and when there is no moon the sky is awesome with the eye

Hi and welcome to the forum Mathew. Lots of "stickies", primers and tutorials along with the search button at the top of the page which will help you locate past questions and answers. You can of course ask some questions here and there is no such thing as a daft question, though you might get the occasional daft answer! I should know I've written half of them. :):D:D
