newbie here from Kingston upon Thames :glasses2:

Here's a picture I took last night with my Lumix GF1 camera

lens is a Minolta 50mm f1/17

ISO 800 --- 4"

P1060010.jpg

Also some previous attempts at the moon and Jupiter with a 500 mm

Index of /moon/

I'm thinking about getting a Skywatcher Skymax 127.

From reading many posts here, it seems to be a good all-around one. Can also be used for DSO viewing by adding some bits to it

I'm using a normal mini tripod, at ISO800 if I try longer exposures you can see a trail forming.

Still experimenting as I am a newbie in astrophotography.

I have a motorised mini EQ1 coming next week for my DSLR, this might help for longer exposures.

hi and welcome from me is 4 secs the max you can take ?30,20 secs on a tripod would get you a better think nice first go will take a look at your others
