  1. A fine looking disc, very nicely captured.
  2. A fine looking disc, very nicely captured.
  3. A fine looking disc, very nicely captured. An excellent effort, interesting to read about stitching in sections
  4. Looks the part for sure, good start with the images as well Neil. Personally, i have always felt my Evostar 1200 should be white in colour for Solar imaging, rather than black. 🙂
  5. I thought about upgrading to a Lunt 60, but if you double stack in the future i think you back down 50mm aperture. So it seems like it is a better idea to to get a Lunt 50 and double stack that.
  6. I would also go with the Quark for quality reasons and as the Lunt require no warm up time.
  7. lovely set of images, liking the inverted view!
  8. An excellently detailed disc, very nicely captured.
  9. A fine looking disc, very nicely captured.

  11. A superb set of images, very nicely captured.
  12. looks like that has stitched very well Neil, how many frames was it?

  14. A fine looking disc, very nicely captured.
  15. It is a very special A/R, i dont think i have seen one quite like this before. So many small "little" spots in a small area.
  16. I use version FireCapture_v2.6_x64 with my DMK21au618 camera, without any problems.
  17. Certainly coming thick and fast at the moment, its a great time for white light viewing/imaging. I did not even get the Lunt 50 out today 🙂
  18. Todays full disc, captured using the "drift method"
  19. Been capturing a good amount of data in the last week, but struggling to process and post online due to time. But i thought todays views were particularly special this morning from work. Fantastic contrast between todays Solar Active regions. 2975 on the right is a huge complex mass of small Umbra and Penumbra, 2976 centre is much more like what we usually view. The view is so good, i felt the pseudo-colour would add nothing, so this as the mono camera records it. all images captured with Evostar 120mm, TeleVue X3 Barlow, zwoasi174mm camera, Baader Continuum filter Even more activity has rotated around the limb recently, here is AR 2978
  20. Thanks for the heads up Reggie, the predawn sky has been getting more interesting for a while now. It will be good to see the return of the two gas giants 🙂
