    Its pretty much essential for this level of detail, but i think its recommended that at least 200mm aperture is used as well.

    Venus in reasonable conditions from the 12.02.2020. Captured with Celestron C9.25, baader UV filter and Asi 290mm camera. Stacked 10% of 25,000 frames. Some decent cloud visible again, fascinating to see the difference in tonight's images compared to this years other images. The disc almost looked blank on the Firecapture preview screen.

    Nicely captured Luke, good to see progress. Amazing how different the view was tonight, no sign of the "v" shaped cloud formation, your image is very similar to what i am about to post, which is very comforting to see.
