  3. I would certainly do the Astronomy shed mod on the drawtube as per @wookie1965 and watch out for the 4 rubber o-rings they have a life of their own little blighters....

  7. maybe as per @knobby If you need more travel you can take the lock ring off the objective cell, allows about an extra 2 or 3 mm travel

  11. I cut my teeth on one of these bad boys IBM5340 back in the days 256k ram and 256mb HDD max and cost a fortune about 180K back in the 80s with 8"floppys and a cartridge that held 10 as well other IBM offerings you could even walk into in the day. how tech has changed...

  15. I had the same problem a couple of years ago and searched hi and lo on my computer for the document knew it would come in handy one day to help others like it helped me..
  16. Make sure you are using just the 2" to 1.25" adapter in the focuser and not using both the 2" and the 1.25" at the same time. Have a look at the above thread link hope this might clarify things and put you on track Andy

  18. Do have any other adapters supplied with scope? like how would you fit an eyepiece as there is an adapter 2" with thumbscrews that would screw onto the focuser drawtube to secure the CC
  19. are you talking about tube length as that would be 44 inch's and that would be a beast if diameter
  20. that is an old OO spider circa 2000 I had one for my 8" Dob
  21. Reading through a translated manual from the Chinese needs addressing properly not only with your manufacturer but all of them across the board...
  22. your best bet is to do a reset from the handset and start from scratch....
  23. Apparently on CN website the default setting was AZ and caused a few probs just a thought this might have changed
  24. Don't forget the date format as per the manual I think it is year month day
