  1. Just to clarify my 450d works on my windows 10 Pro 64bit with APT Andy
  2. The camera might well work with this app yet APT may well require the native drivers for the 450D from Canon I do not know the answer to this question windows updates have a habit of removing stuff. yet you have avoided as to whether you managed to get the original 450D software with driver's this would help a lot. I've shared them with you so let's hope we can get to the bottom of this and put it to bed eventually and get you going on your way. Andy
  3. windowz has a habit of removing stuff... try re-installing the canon app that I have shared with you as it seems to be a driver issue
  4. did you get my email link to my share
  5. Don't worry it will all come together eventually I've had bad days as well join the club
  6. this hobby if it not one thing it is another bug bearer that gets us down but you will get there eventually. What does not help is the OS updates that then removes stuff. annoying to say the least. You will get there eventually.

  13. the m48 adaptor is for connecting to the field flattener, if you want to connect th camera to a std 1.25 camera adaptor you will need one of these instead https://www.firstlightoptics.com/adapters/t-rings.html
  14. are you sure the camera adapter is m48 as should fit ?
  15. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/adapters/astro-essentials-m48-to-t2-adapter.html
  16. I think don't own an ed80 the M48 attaches directly to the drawtube on the focuser did you buy the scope new? as in the box if you bought the scope with all accessories finder diag etc etc There is also a 2” T ring camera adapter and a short extension tube. yes or no? then you can attach filters to that or buy an 1.25 adaptor like this https://www.firstlightoptics.com/adapters/astro-essentials-1-25-inch-t-mount-camera-nosepiece-adapter.html
  17. I'll have to check the box mine came in never thought just checked and just USB an AV cable
  18. you will need an intervalometer remote control about 10-15 quid off amazon or built a serial cable/dsub controller that connects to your pc for +30 sec exposures https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=intervalometer+canon&crid=1UYJ1GNLLO04E&sprefix=interval%2Caps%2C194&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_3_8
  19. IF you get the canon you can get a nifty fifty lens 50mm or equiv manufacture for widefield view of the milky bar kid... for peanuts piggybacked on the scope... Just a thought as well I use one on my 450d albeit not tried it yet, but use it for portrait's of the family slightly off topic..
