  1. Had it about that last night John. Not checked tonight yet. This one is certainly hanging around 👍🏻
  2. It’s a beauty, Roy. Handles would be a great addition, naturally, as we love handles on SGL oops did someone mention love handles? Mods!!
  3. I bought a handle from Astroshop a few years ago that I used on my FS 102 But it was red and the colour difference upset me so I took it off. I agree that the FC 100 is in arm cuddle territory. So is the TSA, but not necessarily for carrying 🤣
  4. Yes 3 mentions of handle. Essentials, I just couldn’t handle it. But would have to give way to John Handleby on this matter
  5. Yet another from the 50% off Amazon offer
  6. At first, 20+ years ago I hated Tak green. Then I got one and grew to love it. Then the changed to baby blue. Hated it. But, you’ve guessed, I love it. Both colours ARE Takahashi: distinctive, Japanese and specific to Tak. 😊👍🏻
  7. Pete and Paul’s challenges you superb! Plenty to think about for the year ahead.
  8. Great report, Fish. And delighted to hear you are pleased with this little beauty 👍🏻
  9. Are you going to stick with the Tak clamshell then, Fish?
  10. I airbrushed them out Dave as I knew you’d pick me up 🤣 It has been pointed out that the FC 76 DCU on the right has an otherworldly glow in the pic. Well, it is a Tak..... 🤣👍🏻
  11. Pretty much the range, but mainly Moon and brighter DSO, especially open star clusters. Grab and go. Not tried on planets, but I suspect it’s a bit too small to do much there (although I’ve seen reports of great Jupiter obs with the FOA 60 Q - I’d love to try one of those, the most highly corrected of the Tak range)
  12. Gradual bloat sounds like me during lockdown 🤔
  13. Well, tbh I have two. One is permanently mounted on the C11 in the observatory and is used for wide field CCD imaging (most recently on Nova Cas). The other one is sometimes used with a Quark for Halpha solar. But normally used in FS 60 Q mode (as it is in the pic on the edge of the table) for wonderful visual obs. It’s a very versatile instrument.
  14. Don’t worry: for action shots like that I use its stunt double 👍🏻
  15. For those of a nervous disposition, I can confirm that no Taks were harmed during the filming of this photoshoot.
  16. L to R TSA 120, AZEQ 6, Planet FC 100 DZ, AZ100, Uni 28 FC 76 DCU, ScopeTech Zero, Report 312 on table: FS 60Q Berlebach Charon seat
  17. Looks brilliant. You’ve got a great scope there. Sorry, I have to ask: what’s with the bats and the BBC Club sign? 🤔
  18. Yes, I was following that one. Wonder where it is now
  19. I suspect it was the same person who insisted on using multiple clamshell clamps on the OTA to protect the tube if it fell off the mount 🤔
