Great pic`s and considering the mount was not driven that give you a big thumbs up from me, good advice from everyone and get a note book, play around with what information you want to record:- Date,Time, Seeing, Transprancy, Eyepiece, Magnification, F.OV. ETC. But most of all enjoy what you see. Des
  9. I`ve done mine, and recorded my result`s on the Star count website on the 25th Feb. I recorded 16 stars which is not to bad considering how many new builds have gone up in the last year and the trend continues. Des

  12. A real classic, both are really good. BUT,there`s always a BUT....The 2nd just pip`s the first one a little more detail in the smaller galaxy. Des

Why not use 3 small paving squares just place them where the tripod usually stands,then just cut around them place them just below the grass level then you can cut the grass without chewing the blades up on the mower, it worked for me I even painted around the tripod feet when the mount was aligned on Polaris just put the tripod on the squares and your 99% there just small adjustment`s to get aligned.
