My advice would be the biggest dob you can practically manage from day to day, a 4" frac for white light and a dedicated Ha solar scope. If funds permitted a decent 6" frac would be great for planetary. So much for just the one :-)
I've got the 12" Dob and 4" apo...I had the 6" achro and C11 ...with this weather I really don't see the point. 3 hours out last night looking for a break in the ''clear'' cloudy sky....waste of time.
