Very nice, Dave. There have been some great features on the sun of late but this prom -> filaprom has been particularly spectacular! Can see the orientation very nicely on your image.

Thanks all. I was very lucky to get this as it was 90% cloud and I had already spent an hour with more cloud than that trying to capture something. I only spotted it at the last moment.

Thank you Pete, David, Michael, Sarah and Colin. I remember seeing a shot of a filaprom some years ago by Pete Lawrence, I think, and hoping that I could catch one of those one day. I've only had the Quark a week and bingo.

Nicely caught, sometimes you have to have lots of patience and yours paid off.

My own Quark is back for repair/replacement, but I reckon it could be really good in my Zenithstar 80 as yours is in a Megrez.
