Sh2-112 in mono

I captured the Ha a while ago for this and am just sitting here waiting for the rest! This really does stand up on it's own as mono I think. The structure of the nebula itself is very interesting with some folds in there and there's bags of outer stuff too. I look forward to pointing a longer focal length scope on this one - I think it will be very interesting indeed.

All comments welcome if you don't like the way it's processed or anything then do say - Can't change what I don't know!!

You're picking up some very nice sharpless targets now Sara, this is another one that I'm not familiar with. Looks great in H-alpha already, and will likely sparkle with additional narrowband data. I've just returned from a city break in Berlin - crystal clear skies every night even from the city centre, returned back to Devon this evening to lots of cloud and murk!

Another top notch image Sara.  I actually think we don't see enough monochrome images on here and some targets work so well in black and white.  This is one of them and while I would be interested in seeing a colour version I wonder if the delicate, gossamer gas backdrop would come through to quite such effect.

It's important not to spin downwards into one single processing approach and diminish the gene pool! Sara has a distinctive approach with a point of view. To quote Python quoting some football manager or other (what do I know about football??) '...and I think this is good.'
