Hello Everyone!

I'm a total noob to astronomy. I've recently got into the idea of it after watching the BBC "wonders of the solar system" and "the planets" after downloading them on iTunes. The solar walk and star walk apps on the iPad have had me entranced too.

I dug out the disused pair of 10x50 binoculars that was kicking around at my folks house. Last night was the first clearish night in a while and I was amazed at what I could see in this limited shaky vision. Saturn!!

I've just ordered my first scope to get me started. It's just a cheap Celestron travel scope 70. I'm hoping it will turn up tomorrow.

I'll be looking up at the stars from Peterborough UK hoping to see more of Saturn soon.
