Hello everyone,

I've just joined the Forum. Delighted to be here and looking forward to sharing all things astronomy. My main interest is h-alpha solar imaging. I have used a Coronado PST and SPC900NC webcam for the past couple of years, then shortly before Christmas I upgraded to a DMK31 and 60mm SolarMax + BF30 filter combo which I've attached to an 80mm Vixen. However, with many days of overcast cloud, low altitude of the Sun and work, I've only been able to use it once. First light was very pleasing though; much sharper, brighter and more detailed than I am used to with the PST.

Looking forward now to the longer days of spring and summer :icon_eek:

Hi Dave and welcome from me to the forum.

Looking forward to seeing some of your images - I think the sun is the about the only thing any of us has been able to observe recently - and the only occasionally!

Clearer skies for you and your kit.
