I'll add a 41 to the mix. Got my first scope as a 30th birthday present. Was a lone astronomer for about 9 years before joining SGL and an astro society (Guildford)

one thing to think about though guys and you all get one up on my self and the other 22 people... youve seen some wonders of this universe... some like the moon landings, launch of the 2 voyagers and other marvles which i could only dream of and it wont be for another 20 or so years till i can even try to catch up to them events
