Hi everone. Iwas given a Celestron Firstscope 114m Newtonian reflector for my birthday in October and have been having a lot of fun learning how to use it.

I've been looking at astronomy sites on the web and the thing that has really caught my interest is astrophotography using webcams. Some of the pictures posted here and elsewhere are so amazing! I had a few goes with holding my digital camera to the eyepiece but the results where pretty poor, so, yesterday I bought a Toucam 840k webcam and a 1.25 adaptor from ebay.

If things go ok with moon and planetary imaging who knows, I may eventually have the cam modified for DSO exposures :D
