Hi all,

I'm Pete, from Loughborough (though I doubt that's a unique identifier!). Very new to all of this, but slowly coming to terms with the basics.

Thanks for all your efforts on the forums, they're a real treasure trove!

Hehe, that is a very, very quick reply!

I have 2 young daughters who are keen on looking at the planets, so they have been the primary focus (no pun intended).

Thankfully, they're also some of the easier things to find, as my 3 year old is not massively patient in the cold weather...

Hi Pete and welcome to SGL :D

We have a local group in the E.Mids that includes members from Loughborough, Leicester, Derby and Notts if you're interested. We meet at Sawley on Sat nights (weather permitting) for observing if you're interested Just click the EMS link in my signature for further details. :D
