Well what i want and what im gonna get are always 2 different things.

At this moment in time i have my eye on the William Optics Zenithstar 105 Triplet APO Refractor.

Gonna have to get rid of both my Meade & Vixen refractors to fund it though.

Here is a link to Ian Kngs site for your perusal.

I'm very happy with my 10" Newt on the EQ6 and my 127mm refractor on the CG5. I'd like motors for the CG5 and faster motors for the EQ6, top is speed x16 and it's a [removed word] reaching around the Newt to find the clutches.

Oh, and did I mention a 150mm Mak.....?

I have only scratched the surface of what the 10" Dob' can do so that would stay.  But, if I am on a flight of fancy I would probably upgrade the ETX105 to a Skymax Pro 150 on a HEQ5 Pro mount http://tinyurl.com/bsq76

Another money-no-object thoroughbred of a scope that really appeals is the Meade 7" LX200 GPS-SMT Maksutov http://tinyurl.com/bs3lf though its weight might be a problem.

Although ... thinking about it, I would probably keep the ETX105; it is a great little scope that can be taken in a rucksack and set up on any flat stable surface - ideal for camping and hols.

The thing is though James, you wouldn't stop there if you won the lottery, you could go even bigger and better....

Now thats a scarey thought Caz , if i won the Lotto i would prob have a Scope custom made and of course in a Observatory be great to buy a plot of land and hold Star Partys every weekend now that would be fun.

From the very beginning I've had my eye on this... but to get it, I would have to sell my kids, my husbands kidneys and my body....!!

I should show that to my wife, then $900 for a Dob would seem pretty trivial.

I'm looking at the used market, but I would like a 4" or 5" f/8 or longer achro, ($2-500 on the used market) and an 8" Dob ($2-300) preferably an Orion intelliscope with the computer control ($7-900). I don't really need any accessories for my present scope. Might get a couple eps if my scope dreams come true.

Hmm, Caz, let's see, your little daughter's cute, and I really want a grandchild. Don't need kidneys yet (I'm O+, though, just in case) but.... Can you give me a package deal? :D:lol::D

Hmm. What I want seems to change rather frequently I am afraid - but always seems to involve WO scopes somewhere  I have it seems forever been lusting after a WO FLT110 - unattainable it appears as they are like hens teeth. I suppose the 105 is OK that Jamie mentioned but it was built to a price. The FLT was built to just work
