Hello from Berkshire

Hi,

I'm Robert and I live in Berkshire, in a thin strip of darkness between Newbury and Reading.

I'm quite a solitary astronomer and not a member of any clubs, although I'll try and get along to Newbury AS this autumn. I've been interested in astronomy since a young age, and 3 years ago bought a 60mm refractor on an EQ mount, and last year an 8" dob.

As I studied physics at uni I have quite an interest in the science behind the scenes, and hope to take my observing up a few notches. As well as visual, I've used the refractor to do planetary, lunar and solar imaging with a Philips SPC900 webcam.

Hoping that by joining Stargazer's Lounge I can start communicating with other astronomers to help me progress up the learning curve.
