NGC 7000 North American

Well the moon wasn't much cop last night, not rising until really the ecplise was over. So decided to make the best of having my setup ready to go and went back out later for a crack at NGC7000. Probably an object best left to Rog with his more suitable red sensitive camera. That said i was pleasently surprised at what the Canon managed.

15 x 2mins @ 800iso with LPR filter. Focal reduced refractor on HEQ5 Skyscan. Stacked in ImagesPlus and processed in Photoshop CS2. I apologise upfront for the quality. As usual i've processed it on my works computer with it's seriously knackered monitor. It looks dark and noise free from here but i know as soon as i take a look this evening on the TFT at home, it'll look pants!

oh blimey even on the monitor here i can see the amp glow in the bottom left....boy it must look complete carp on a decent screen.

Missed this somehow, just looked it up from the veil picture. This is something I've failed to even find on an image so far so very well done, it's spurred me on to try for this faint fuzzy. V. nice veil as well BTW, and I know that that one is an unforgiving bit of sky.
