M42 last gasp!

I promise not to post any more M42 this year. However, curiosity forced me to combine the 5.5 hour shots in the mono and OSC cameras to see what happened. With all that data I got a bit of a Gendler head on. You may not like it!

It must be difficult to keep a camera away from this object at any time Olly. Moreso when the OSC you have now needs a good target to show its prowess.

M42 is popular because it is what it is, a beautiful object, and you've certainly cemented that notion with this image.

Thanks all. In fact I did go back to this briefly to do a bit of work on some of the bright outlying stars that surround the nebula. I got them under a little more control and resolved a double or two in there. The only way I could take this any further would be to shoot some luminosity in the 5 inch which I might just try having gone this far...
