We need enough lunar images from members to cover the whole lunar cycle.

there was a fellow from mexico that made a nice composite image of the moon about four years ago. He took a bit of each day's terminator and combined to make a full disk. that gave the nice relief view when the terminator is illuminated obliquely but for the entire disk.

perhaps that is your intended use of these images?

Here's three that may help - I think we've got a day one and a day 15 here - unfortunately not sure about the other but it was June 2008 (3/4 moon)

Or he can make the animation of moon going full and then disappearing back. Anyway whatever it is I can't wait to see the results.

I have this taken on 19th August 2009, at 04:32 hrs (GMT+8) in the South China Sea. Day 28 as it was 14 hours before newmoon, I think 1.2%. Quality perhaps too poor for your purposes though.

As I mentioned at Kelling, I have virtually all the phases but they are lurking on my backup hard drive. I will happily search out any particular ones.

I can do 00h00m, 15h13m, 16h35m and 23h but they are all against a bright sky. I can also do one which is 28.5d old. I probably have the other missing days, in fact I know I have because I put this together...

...however, after a lot of work trawling my archives to build the phases needed, I lost a 500Gb hard drive catastrophically and the original for this phase image was one of the casualties that hadn't entered the backup loop yet. Consequenly, the phases will be somewhere on my system but it'll take a bit of work to locate them.

that is a cool project ... keeping track of the phases... but should you not also keep track of the lunation that is also currently showing ?

This was taken 8th January 2009, at 23:30 (capture finished a couple of hours later). Not sure what % that would make it. I've a higher 14MP version which is available if you want it.
