This one weighs only 1.53kg complete, compared to 2.85kg for the original. A nice birthday present for my FS152 which is 20 years old this year. 🙂 Can we see a pic(s) of the said FS152 please? 😊 Edited March 5 by F15Rules Typo

Bivanus
A little brother for my 102mm. Quite a large difference in site to the 80mm ! I sold the SW72ED and...ahem...invested the money 😄
bosun21
My next acquisition is an AZ-EQ6 Pro mount. It's a heavy beast but they are rock steady. Just need to get a couple of screws to fit the ADM saddle to its mounting puck. Anyone by any chance know what size they are?. Also a Baader Steeltrack focuser for my 250mm go to dobsonian. What looks like double stacked Solarscope Ha 50mm filters. If the etalons are in good shape, they should provide spectacular views through the little Tak (or any refractor). It would be interesting to know when they were made. Solarscope has been through several changes over the years, but many of the earliest filters were absolutely superb. Potentially a very exciting discovery.

I can't wait to try it all out, it's all new to me solar viewing and imaging. I was hanging my nose over a brand new Lunt when my friend mentioned these maybe available at a good price, everything looks in good order with a few signs of use.

That looks rather nice !! Somewhat tempted for my FS128. Nothing wrong with my current clamshell, but ???? I should never have looked should I 🤔🤔🤔 John

What an absolute beauty of a telescope. I can only dream of owning such a piece of optical craftsmanship.
plyscope
It is a beauty and I never expected to own one myself. However it was available locally for a reasonable price and I sold off some other scopes (D&G 6" f15 and 5" f15) and was able to purchase it from the original owner. That was about 3 years ago and I still have not used it as much as I would like. My work takes me away from home for weeks at a time. When I am home other things have taken priority however, I do expect to have a bit more free time in the coming months. I will post some updates in the Show your Takahashi thread later. I understand why Mike sold his one on and I know there will come a time when I pass this one on to the next owner. It is a delight to own and use in the meantime. I am trying to make it as as light and convenient as possible. Edited March 5 by plyscope spelling errors

It’s possible they are of very high quality, with a narrow bandwidth which would really bring out surface detail. Solarscope is still going - and doing maintenance and repairs if you do need help.
josefk
Just one astro session in February and just five for 2024 so far - it is quite frankly driving me round the twist. I enjoyed Venus in the daytime immensely last year (and it compensated a run of poor nights at one point) so i'm pondering adding solar to the hobby too for similar reasons. Probably white light to start with while i work out how much i want to spend and how to spend it on H-Alpha... Here's my homework in the meanwhile:

I have a feeling it’ll be Imperial. It’s a while since I fitted mine but I remember being surprised. Though I shouldn’t have been as I think the A in ADM might stand for American.
Veej
A QHY5III200M. It will be the guide camera for my Edge 9.25 and maybe occasionally get pointed at a planet. I think its the final "must have" on my setup ive been building over the last 12 months ( ignoring the ever growing "wish list" of course ) Edited March 6 by Veej

I am a mixed user, visual & EAA with wishful thinking towards AP 😜 I got the 102 Photoline due to a offer and never looked back because MAAAN does it deliver on visual too ! Now , older and more ...cinical/realist/attuned to the back pains...I would like to advance in the AP/EAA but know that a smaller one might actually be better. So , got one , and today the guide rings , lighter finder shoe and a soft bag for it arrived from TS.Here are the 'final forms' for visual, imaging and storage.

I do like those TS logoed bags, may have to get one. .
