This is an image of both AR3323 and 2231 captured this afternoon (5th June) at about 2pm. Seeing was occasionally quite reasonable which allowed quite a bit of of surface detail to be captured. Taken with my Quattro Newtonian, Baader solar film, a continuum filter and a ZWO 183MM.  Stacked in Autostakkert and colourized in Photoshop.

Here is a close in shot of AR13333 taken this morning with a new to me Lunt Herschel wedge and Baader solar continuum filter in the back of my Starfield 102 frac (with Baader 2.25x barlow). Altair 290m camera. Stacked 10% of 5k frames, sharpened in Astrosurface and finished in Gimp.

As it's very rare to catch a sequence of 15 consecutive "keeper/stacker" frames I thought I'd better enter today's disc as I'm not sure whe I'll collect the same again ... 😏

16th June 2023 , 10:35 BST.  CanonEOS 550D + Tal 100RS + 1.8x Barlow + Baader ND3.8 Imaging film + Oiii filter .  1/1000s @ ISO 100.

15 frames selected and stacked using PIPP , AS!3 , Reg 5 , Gimp.

Oh this is wonderful. This time I have 2 pictures to show for it. (Warning: Large file)

First is a Full disk mosaic with 41 tiles (I am using a Quark Chromosphere double stacked with PST etalon on a 6 inches fracs so the FOV is very small, getting fulldisk on this was a real challenge. In return the details is incredibly nice. Please open the image in new tab to see the disk in full detail. ) Taken 1st June. There was a big storm out in the ocean so I have excellent transparency and seeing for a few days in the beginning of June.  the good seeing shows with the timelapse and the fulldisk mosaic.

2. Secondly, a timelapse of the small proms with a small flare on the NW Limb.  Taken 1 day later. The good seeing manifestes as a extremely detailed, tack sharp animation.

The best frame from the GIF, with the ISS nicley positioned between the Sunspots. A straightforward single frame saved from the SER file and converted to a PNG and lightly sharpened.

Evostar 120mm, Lunt wedge, Baader Continuum filter, Asi174mm,

Some fairly stable conditions on Sunday morning, tempted me to get the "big un" out again, looking for some high resolution Solar images.

AR3341, with some reasonable granulation.

C9.25, Homemade 200mm v3.8 filter, asi174mm, x4 Powermate, 60 second SER file, stacked 10%, sharpened in IMPPG.

With the fairly stable conditions on Sunday morning, i hoped to capture some reasonable granulation.

This area is what i always consider the best area, right in the middle, the nearest and facing right at Earth. Pretty pleased how it has turned out.

Shame there wasn't  a decent AR in the area. Massively over-sampled with the X4 powermate 🙂

Well having at long last got to play with the new Altair 174MM Hypercam I'm very pleased with its first taste of sunshine .

A collection of close-ups from the 2nd July , all slightly different settings as I was finding my feet , and an AS!3 2x Resampled offering in the middle.

Wow, these are some amazing solar images on this thread, among my favourites are those of @Marke998 which show the sun in a colour tone I can only describe as white hot. My Image is a first attempt with my new Lunt60 and the wrong camera for solar (Neximage5) and no knowledge of solar processing (can button mash like a pro) but I'll soon have a proper mono cam. If by chance judging night happens to fall on drinking night for our judges and I win this competition I will send out autographed copies to everyone! 😂
