Hello All

I have been browsing on and off for a bit now and for some reason never joined the forum. Today is the day.

I just want to say hello to all. I have always had an interest in the stars, but really got hooked earlier this year attempting to photograph Neowise. I’ll attach my first attempt, single exposure, shot of the comet. I still have to process a stacked image sometime when I get free time.

I have meet many people on my outings on my Neowise hunt and keep in touch with a few. Really good people with all different types of backgrounds, but we have the same thing in common...shooting for the stars!

Ever since then, I have been shopping for a scope. Just when I think I have made a choice, I find another scope to get. Now, they are all sold out! Just gives me more time to get more confused I guess.

My choices are between a 8” Newt or SCT. (Budget up to 2500)  something I can use for visual and/or astrophotography. Eventually I’ll get a Space Cat or Red Cat to run with my DSLR.

Anyways...clear skies!

Welcome @Esexx, fantastic image.

There's many of us here biding our time whilst stocks replenish!

Crazy times! I have never thought telescopes would be in this short/nonexistent supply.

Thank you to all.

I usually stay to myself and do my own thing. However, when trying to capture Neowise, I have met so many great people. I know it will be the same here.

Welcome aboard! i have to say that is a beautiful shot of Neowise! love the foreground you chose to frame that image, great to have you with us!

Thank you. I was actually trying to get to another spot, but got lost and decided to park on a private road.

After that, I decided to invest in some Astro gear to view and photograph the “stars.”
