Good day! PLEASE READ > photo of a star inside im confused

Hello,

Just registered to quiz all of the experts on this huge star in the sky. You'll probably all laugh at my knowledge but here goes anyway.

Its in the general south west direction, standing in my garden its the only star I can see and its pretty huge.

Took some pictures at different apertures with my 350D and 70-200L and this is what came out:

Anyone any idea what this is? I think the blurred and oval pictures were taken just as something moved the ground like a car or something, I was using a remote timer with mirror lockup to take out motion blur factors.

The star you've seen is actually the Planet Venus. Tad in the bright side isn't it?
