Hello from Nottingham..... again - returning after a 4 year break!

Hi,

I'm Nick and returning back to astrophotography after nearly 4 years break from it.

I'm sure you know the story, 8/10 sessions are OK, 1/10 observing/imaging session is ace and the other 1/10 is really lousy and vow to give up (again). I've been going through this phase for the past 48 years (with some sleep issues aside).

I really enjoy solar stuff, just sucks with a the solar minimum at the moment.

I have managed to get some decent images in the past and had these published, just starting to get back into it now but feel like I have forgotten everything although used to be active on East Midlands Stargazers site. Feeling very rusty....

 

Currently using a Skywatcher 200p, Coronado PST, ASI120MC, Canon 200D

Welcome back Nick. I too don't use a moon filter. I find they dim and grey out the image too much. Going temporarily moon blind is fine for me in return for the unfiltered view I get.
