True, rigs get heavier, but not to that extent, the size of concrete you are talking about (1 cubic metre) would hold a ship in port....you would need somewhere in the region of ten tons of force to even move that block a mm.... 😀

I'm not passionate about that amount of concrete either but I know of a guy that knows when his area has a earth tremor as he has to slightly adjust his PA..

I do think a large block of concrete would make an excellent earthquake detector, a few years ago I had a very minor quake that shook the walls of the house and dislodged ornaments so ran outside to find the the ground completely still...

Then please show me a picture of your ten tons of kit.... 😂😂

Here you are, sorry but this was worth putting a cubic metre of concrete under it, and I ain’t taking any out for anybody.😎

Did 0.5 m3 on my first build and that was far too much. There shouldn't be any forces on a well balanced scope, I'd maybe aim for a weight of concrete that is a few times the weight of your gear.

I'd assume that would depend on your soil of where you're putting it, I'd guess at .5 of a cubic m to be far too little and future proofing ..it's harder to add more once it's done if you got it wrong..

For the benefit of anyone else reading the thread it would be nice to see the update.

Just how nosey do you want to be..

There's nothing much to add,  unless you really need to know that I did my back in and put off digging the hole, there's a bit of personal content but as it's a personal message I keep it personal.. and as a update if you really need to know I've started digging it
