BXRO
Hello all, Name is Brian and I live near Sleaford in Lincolnshire. Been retired now for three years but still only 60(ish) have been doing a lot of the free courses on FutureLearn (the Open Universities free online learning tool) and discovered I have a liking for astronomy. Have a Skywatcher Explorer 130P (F5) Newtonian and when mother nature allows like getting outside looking upwards. Only really been active with practical astronomy for the past six months so still learning the basics

ronin
I would stick Sleaford in as your location. There are a few others around the Lincolnshire area and it may be that one or two are close enough for you meet up and peer at the underside of clouds together. Or swap and try eyepieces out - very useful. Just after this initial post disappears down the list no-one will be overly sure where you are based. Also if you ask what you can get to and visit there are at times FAS and SPA annual gatherings at Cambridge - one seems to have ambled off elsewhere but I think 2 still hold annual meetings there.
