Clear skies forecast up here in northumberland for the next 2 nights! Trying not to get my hopes up too much as there is plenty of cloud around. Fingers crossed though

err, no! Clear outside wins this round with 100% cloud cover forecast.

Well I've ended up with about 30% cloud but I've still seen 5 bright persieds. The sky that is clear is nice and dark with the milky way nice and bright tonight. Gonna stop out for as long as I can

Totally clear here now so just enjoying the show.  Hooe other have got some clear skies where ever you maybe

Back home from North Yorkshire and having a look at my images from Monday night. Didn't expect results as it was extremely windy, however I'm pretty happy with my image of M31, including M32 and M110, taken using my Canon 100D with 300mm lens. Stack of 18 images varying from 60 to 120 seconds

Another image from 08.08.2016 showing the Milky Way and includes the constellations of Cassiopeia and Triangulum, as well as M31, M33, M34, NGC752, the double cluster of NGC869 & NGC884 and Caroline's Cluster.

Taken using Canon 100D DSLR with 18mm lens on SkyWatcher Star Adventurer mount.

Single 135 second exposure at ISO800.

Did I catch a Perseid on Thursday night during a brief break in the clouds? Very lucky if I did as I only managed half a dozen images.

It looks like it mite be, anyway as Mark said beautiful skies ☺️

Hopefully I will get a few hours tonight to try out my Pentax, I couldn't resist it at the price I got it for ☺️

Yeah I saw that I've also purchased a second hand ES 68 24mm so for this month at least I'm spent up.
