13th March Solarscope Sunday

The day dawned to clear sky but by 9am it was cloudy and I could see on Sat24 everyone else had clear skies and has done all day (in England). I was cursing a bit but at 1pm the skies suddenly cleared to a pale blue and I was able to get the Solarscope out. The seeing was very nice, the SSM indicated an average of around 1- 1.5 and the view through the scope didn't disappoint too but the light levels were very variable because of the haze. I am really surprised I managed a full disc with not too many joins. This was taken with a 1.6x Barlow and the Grasshopper 3. Actually the image looks very nice if you go back to Flickr and click on the image as this is the only way to see the detail in this forum.
