Sorry for this but it seems to be fine weather each day at the moment.

In case no one knows these are done with a DMK""618 mono, Altair 80mm EDT @ F6.

I agree, fantastic  well done that man. What mount do you use ?

My trusty AZEQ6, as it's a take down setup I can't PA for solar so all I do is take it out the back door, point it North set tracking for solar & off you go.

There is a small amount of drift but that's also handy in making the flat files more effective.

Thanks guys for commenting, I'm am praying for some serious action from that new AR.

Well caught Ewan, nice ARs, the seeing was pretty variable yesterday and seemed to improve in the late afternoon making for nice sharp Quark images.

Looking OK ATM for a bit more solar now I've finished my chores :)

Don't apologise, make the most of it!

Great set.

Have you tried a focal reducer with the Altair?

It was reduced Dave just a big sunspot.

You must be getting some rays by now Dave.

Finished em eh ? Thought you were going to do mine as well .

This Quark is just stuck to my hand all the time, best bit of 'affordable' solar kit there is.

Ah, ok.

Yes, sun was out this morning so bagged some white light data. Stuck at work now so will have to process later[emoji19]

Weekend looks dire at the moment but tbh I take no notice of what they say, take it on the day instead.

Meant to be clear around 6pm Dave will you be back in time for imaging or do you stick to am only ?

Nice set Ewan. Sadly, I am too busy at work at the mo to have a go during the day. Anyway good news, my Quark lands next week, hurrah!

Robin

Fingers crossed for you Robin.

Apologies for the detail around the disc but I have not a clue how to sort shading out in that area, learning bit by bit but it's slow.

18 Pane Mosaic :-

Great detail. Rather odd problems with the shading in those last images. Does the problem occur in individual panes?

Here is a screen of the folder Michael & in PS as layers, where am I tripping up ?

I would run those panes through AutoStitch for win64, just to see whether a less smart algorithm mightn't be more intelligent ;)

Tbh Michael I have had 0% results with Autostitch to date, as the solar surface changes fairly quickly P'S has a job sometimes so manual aligning works best then Blend together.

Maybe when I'm framing the limb images I need less limb on screen being captured and more black, should give me a bigger surround to play with.

I really do not think this is the problem. Have you tried the 64 bit version or the 32 bit version. They are very different. If you like, I could have a play with the data, to see what's the problem
