Finally painting is done.

I then fitted the plastic to the inside of the secondary cage, Steve you were not lying, what a job that was!!!!

I got it from these guys, 1mm HIPS: http://www.aquariusplastics.co.uk/about-us.htm

Not my neatest work I'm afraid but given what an utter b@st$$d it was, I think it will do.

50mm Heat shrink onto the 1.25" poles was this stuff: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160809668245?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&var=460151601004&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Alan (Rustysplit) got some better formica and we stuck that to the bearings and bottom of the rocker box, it has a nice bumpy finish which gives a really lovely smooth ride now.

He has spare and is willing to sell to anyone interested I think.

Cell back in and ring stuck to hold triangles in place. I appear to have lost a pad so will have to fix that.

Before the mirror went in it was really slippy and i was a bit worried. But after the mirror went in its brilliant. Really smooth and stops dead where you want it. Tried it with heavy and light eyepieces and its so much better than the first type! Im on my own at mo so cannot get a shot of me with it. Will try later :-)

Well done Simon great looking scope now its all finished it looks the business in black.

Just gotta be careful you don't loose it in the dark as it'll not show up on radar!

Think an award for fastest build ever should be on there as well as the focal length.:-)

Thanks Mapstar.

Quite easy to bump into it in the dark, it takes up half the garden!
