Yeah there's already a post somewhere about it but sure it was £10k when it was first advertised.

I must admit that is a scope I would love. I'm not scared of ladders. Just haven't got the £8k.

The wife said I could have a big scope on the patio - not sure what the neighbours would think though.

It has too long a focal length for me so the mag would be too high for easy tracking.

Its good to see some big dobs becoming more common these days though.

4.5metres wow, Just over half a degree fov then with a 31mm nagler!!

That's equivalent to about 11mm nagler in my scope. Bet the light grasp is amazing but fov would prove too small for me.

That's my excuse anyway (oh and I don't have 8k)!

A 31mm Nagler giving half a degree at 145x wow! You'd get M101 filling the whole eyepiece. That would be incredible.

Yea I guess galaxies would be cool but you'd have to be good at moving the ladder quick!

at least you would only need 1 eyepiece, everything else would be like orthos

with a scope like this you could potentially discover a lot of objects I suppose. just let them come to you!

You won't need a coma corrector then so thats a few bob saved 

I notice it comes with a trailer included, which is nice, but you still need a long car + a roof rack for the ladder and truss poles.

I wonder what the owners liability is if someone falls off the ladder at an outreach event ?.
