Hi Folks,

I thought I'd drop in and say hello.

I actually bought my scope from FLO about 3 years ago, a C6-S. Having opened the boxes and read the instructions I decided that it all looked too complicated and promptly did the boxes up and they have been stored unopened until about 3 weeks ago.

Stargazing Live was due to be on the tv and so the telescope finally came out of its boxes.

I am slowly getting the hang of it and have enjoyed viewing Jupiter and the Orion nebula.

The weather has been a bit rubbish and when  the skies have been clear I have suffered from dew quite badly. The paint on my DIY dew shield is drying as I type this and a dew heater is on the shopping list.

I expect I'll be asking all sorts of noob questions and will try and remember to use the search first but apologies in advance if I miss anything already asked.

Welcome to SGL David - I know how you felt, I did the same and left my scope and mount unopened for 10 months as it was just too daunting!! You've done it now though, there's no going back!!! Enjoy your new hobby :grin:
