8P Tuttle and a sigh of relief

Recommended Posts

Clouded out for conjuction tonight, but last night did the scope hokey cokey of putting the whole set up out (clouds over) the whole set up in (clears up) the whole set up out and finally got it going. This was my first chance with a shiny new EQ6Pro and with my Canon since its mod. After spending most of 2007 cursing at my old mount and trying to get it to autoguide I had the EQ6 guiding spot on in no time  which led to a big sigh of relief and a not very needed excuse to crack open some beer

So anyway, here's a go at Tuttle.

Orion Optics 200mm f6 reflector on EQ6Pro

Canon 350d (modded)

55 x 30 seconds @ iso 800, guided

Processing in Iris and Photoshop

Cheers all. This was the 5th comet I imaged in 2007, apart from Holmes I only got one clear night where I was also at home to capture each one. Not sure if I should consider myself lucky or be miffed at the British climate... :?
