Hello from Guernsey

Hi all,

just joined the forum and relatively new to astronomy.

I bought myself a skywatcher dobsonian about 12 months ago and I'm slowly finding more things to look at. I've found the sky at night marathons a great way to discover new objects.

Clouds tonight, so time to type!

Good evening Keith ,

Welcome to SGL , I'm sure the cloud will break soon . . .

As it turns out the cloud cleared for a while.

too much chance of rain to bother getting out the scope, but picked up a few more winter marathon binocular items.

still not sure what I am looking at all the time, especially when I am trying to identify star clusters in the middle of the Milky Way.

Hi Keith and welcome to SGL, a copy of Turn Left @ Orion, available from most good high street book shops, will help you find a lot of targets for observation with a small scope :)

John.

I saw lots of people mentioning this, so I've ordered a copy.

Keith
