hello one and all!

just a quick line to say I have been observing your earth sorry web site for a few weeks now and am quite impressed with the wealth of knowledge I have found so far.

I have been thinking of taking up this hobby for quite a few years now and have now taken the plunge.

I am also into caravaning and intend to take my scope with me when i go and for this reason i have bought a skywatcher 90 refractor on a eq2 mount as i think this will be quite robust compared to a newtonian!

I await your comments!

Welcome to SGL.

To be honest I'm not sure I'd worry too much about the robustness of a newt as long as it can be packed away somewhere safe. For much the same money I might be tempted to go for a Heritage 130P instead.
