Hi there

ive just joined and new to astronomy i have a sky-watcher telescope and been out a few times when weather lets me i live near exeter devon.hoping to get a 8 inch dobsonian when funds allow.

Hi and welcome to the SGL. there is a great club at Sidmouth the Norman Lockyer Observatory if you can get to it and a few of us drive from Exeter so lifts are not a problem.

Oh Devon that's where I lived and grew up from 7 until 20 years of age. My folks live in east Devon still I have taken my 200P to the moors above dulverton and it has been the bet nights observing so far

Hi and welcome to the forum. Any scope that you have at the moment will offer a better view than what you can see with your own eyes or even a decent pair of binoculars, so I would enjoy what you have for now - though 8" of aperture is rather nice! :grin:
