Hi Everyone

I thought id be polite and say hello! im new on here, ive been observing the sky with my naked eye for a while and am ready to buy my first telescope.

Im and active person and a Scout leader so I and love being outdoors camping and want to be able to combine walking and climbing and star gazing camping holidays.

Looking forward to gettign to know you all!

Hi Joanne and welcome to SGL, perhaps a nice pair of binoculars will fit the bill with your Scouting/camping activities, a portable scope with a mount of any size, could have transportation issues, but of course, you will be in a better position to evaluate that side of it, with what you are able to take on your Scout camping trips, enjoy your Astronomy :)
