Hi there and welcome to the forum. Astronomy isn't difficult but I admit there is a lot of it! You can also access past threads etc on the search facility in the top right hand corner of this screen. When it comes to asking for further help and advice, you will find that you will get the majority of responses by posting in the the relative sections but the important thing is always to keep asking. There is no such thing as a daft question - only the one you didn't ask!

Clear skies and enjoy the forum

Hi Preey and welcome to SGL, Astronomy is a bit like a journey along an endless winding road, but with some difficult bends along the way and a number of junctions you can turn down, but once you step onto the road, you don't know where it is going to lead. However, the adventure can be very exciting and rewarding. Just take your time and try not to rush into buying a telescope as your first choice, many start with a modest pair of binoculars, downloading the free program Stellarium and commencing to learn the night sky, assimilating information, using the forum and other sources. If you get lost or breakdown on your journey, just call out the forum membership, advice and roadside help will often be given in generous helpings. Enjoy your Astronomy :icon_santa:

John.
