Welcome to the forum. I am also a newbie. I also got my scope this year, which also happens to be a Nexstar 8 SE. I will soon have a pair of older used binoculars that I picked up on EBay. They are only 7 x 35s, but they were only 10 bucks and looked to in very good shape. They should be decent quality as the pictures show several brass fittings on them. We'll see... regardless, welcome aboard.
