I have been thinking of getting a telescope for several years now, my last attempt quickly ended a few years back - my husband pointed out I had to be up late, out in the dark and the cold. None of which are my favourite things!

But now the lure has proved too much and today I have taken possession of a Skywatcher 200P. I think I have just about put it together correctly?

Thick cloud overhead of course, so no viewing tonight but looking forward to the times ahead.

Hi Nyx and welcome to the lounge, have you found Stellarium yet the free planetarium download? it helps to pass away the cloudy evenings.

Yes thank you - then spent ages trying to work out how to zoom back out with a track pad.After quitting many times I finally found the instructions as well. Looking forward to planning my first evenings viewing - Hopefully tomorrow evening.
