Just dropping in to say hello to the comunity. Ive been into stargazing since i was around 5 years old (29 now)and soon (wife permitting lol) will be getting myself a Skywatcher Skyliner 200P Dobsonian as ive been told its a very good starting point. Looking forward to many, many hours of fun with it :D

Hi Sputnic and welcome to the forum. Yes the 200p is a great starting point and it will not disappoint you - just hope the weather plays ball on its arrival.

yeah Fingers crossed :( Im lucky in a way though as there is a street lamp right at the bottom of my back garden which my sister-inlaw (who works for the council) is speaking to the department who maintains them to see if they will turn it off and she is confident they will :D
