ollypenrice
Wow, smooth as you like. Lovely colour as well, very close indeed to RGB. This long subs have done wonders, I bet. It's a really unusual and intriguing object.Olly

Uranium235
Nice work Ive been working on this one and was surprised at how weak it is in Ha. Maybe becuase its so low youre looking through a lot of atmosphere to get to it?

barkis
Nice one Les.A real nice little emission Nebula this is.It is a low one in Canis Major, so any southern obstructions will curtail time on it.There's a Wolf Rayet at the centre too, a red giant allegedly in pre Nova stage, so who knows, there may be an addition to the view in the future. Don't hold your breath though, it could be next week,or next millennium. After all, it's 15k light years away .Ron.
Tom OD
Super Les,Smooth and as Olly said the colour looks very good and close to RGB.Can you post a bigger version?Tom.
Tim
That's come out very well Les.It's a beautiful target that seems really tricky to get a good hold of, I know I have tried and failed several years on the trot!So it is nice to see a finished image here, especially one this nice What colour assignment did you use here? Was there much signal in the Oiii filter? Sii? Thanks.Tim
michael.h.f.wilkinson
Beautiful object and really nicely imaged. I have seen it in my Sky Atlas 2000.0, but never had a look. Should be very difficult visually.
Les Tilly
Thanks Guys the color combine was first HA OIII OIII that was the first rendition I then took some Sii subs very weak in that area I combined it as SII HA OIII was not happy with how it turned out so I then combined both images and adjusted the Opacity to bring out some of the colors in the SII Ha OIII I then was happy with the end result Les
Tim
Often that is the best way to get the "right" colour balance Les, mix and match!

Les Tilly
This is True Martin, But when there are very large tree's in that area thats what makes it low for me. I need a good bit of wind to knock a few of them down and I will be ok Les

Beyond_Vision
You have done very well controlling the noise despite the low count of subs. A really nice image which is even more impressive given the altitude.RegardsKevin
