  1. Thanks for all your help. I saw that I could make an Action but it said it will not work with my version of PS. 2023 Fay
  2. Can anyone explain after removing stars, with StarXterminator and Photoshop 2022, and processing nebula how do I put the stars back. It is not clear on the website and cant find any referance on how to recombine. Thanks a lot, Fay

  10. I lost my QSi info in Astroart, and had to reinstall, i have spent hours trying to get the internal filter wheel to open, but greyed out and not available for selection on the filter wheel part. most other makes are mentioned but not QSI internal filter. If I press Ascom filter wheel. QSI ccd comes up but the OK key does not respond. please has anyone any clues?? all this started when I connected a modified DSLR to Astroart. all QSI info disappeared, thats why I had to reinstall it from the beginning. always used QSI with Astroart for years and no problems. I fear this is a QSI problem, and there could be problems with other capture programs when using QSI ccd. Thanks Fay

    Hi Jon,

thanks for the noise advice, i had  been reading up on noise problems,  that day.

when I blur the background copy and change blend mode to color, the noise comes back. what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks Jon,

      Hi Fay,

The gaussian blur/color mode fix only effects colour noise. For luminous noise try the noise reduction filter in PS or a specific noise reduction program.

Here's a comparison to show you how the fix effects the image with the colour noise removed from the right half only.

      Hope this helps.

      Jon
