Saturn in cross vision 3D

Hi everyone, as I work in CGI for a living I thought I would put my skills to use. This is a photo of Saturn I took earlier this year which I have projected onto some geometry in Maya with a stereo camera setup. This was the result:

You don't need glasses for this trick to work. All you have to do is cross your eyes until the two images meet in the middle, then try and focus on this new third image (but make sure to relax your eyes while doing this). It may take a little bit of practice but once you've got it, it's easy

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm currently working on another but this time with the Rosette Nebula, it will probably take me quite a while though as I am literally rebuilding all of the nebula in geometry.

Don't worry it takes a little practice - you may be sitting too close to the screen. And just remember to relax your eyes when you do manage to get the third image in the middle.

The moon one is a lot harder to get the cross view with but the others worked really well...really liked the saturn one.

its all down to the size and crop of the target. If the Moon one is a bit tricky just try moving away from the screen and it should be much easier

Also, I have just discovered (probably a bit of a no-brainer!) that it helps if you are square on to the screen, rather than at an angle.
